Cancellation & Refunds
How to Cancel Your Subscription
Section titled “How to Cancel Your Subscription”You can cancel your Landingsite subscription at any time. To cancel:
- Go to your user settings.
- Open the billing portal where all your subscriptions are listed.
- Cancel the specific subscription you want to end.
If you are looking at a website plan, the Cancel Plan button cancels that website subscription only.
Website subscriptions and domains are managed separately. Canceling your website subscription does not automatically cancel your domain renewal.
What Happens When You Cancel
Section titled “What Happens When You Cancel”- Canceling turns off future renewals, but your website usually stays live until the end of the current billing period.
- If the subscription is fully refunded, the website can go offline right away.
- Your website is not deleted — if you resubscribe and publish again, everything will be restored.
- Manual website deletion is different: if someone deletes the website itself from the account, that deletion is currently permanent and support cannot restore the deleted site.
- If you transferred a website to a client and they have their own subscription, cancelling your subscription does not affect their site.
Failed Payments
Section titled “Failed Payments”If a payment fails, Stripe (our payment processor) will automatically retry the charge over the next two weeks. If payment is not collected after all retry attempts, your subscription will be cancelled and your site will go offline.
You can update your payment method at any time in the billing portal under your user settings.
Refunds
Section titled “Refunds”If you need a refund, contact our support team. Refund processing typically takes 5 to 10 business days once initiated.
Domains After Cancellation
Section titled “Domains After Cancellation”Domains are separate from website subscriptions. If you purchased a domain through Landingsite, you own it regardless of whether you have an active website subscription. Domains auto-renew automatically, so your domain stays active even if you cancel your hosting plan.
If you want to stop paying for the domain too, you will need to either:
- cancel the domain renewal separately, or
- transfer the domain to your own registrar account
If you are unsure which option is best, contact support before the renewal date.
