Products, Variants & Downloads

Open your website in the editor and switch to Products. You can also ask the AI to show your products. Select a product to inspect its details. Make product changes through chat; the Products view displays the saved catalog rather than an editing form.

If you have not connected payments yet, start with Start Selling. You can prepare products before live payments are active.

Ask the AI to set the product’s name, description, images, and price. Product images are used in checkout and the cart as well as on your storefront; ask the AI to update the product image when changing its picture on the page.

Simple products support a fixed price or buyer-chosen amount. The latter is useful for tips or pay-what-you-want purchases: set minimum and maximum amounts, and the purchase quantity is one. You can also ask for a maximum quantity per order on fixed-price products.

Prices use the site’s selling currency. Ask the AI to confirm it before adding products. To choose another currency, name it explicitly in chat. Changing the store currency keeps the numeric prices rather than converting them at an exchange rate: 20 USD becomes 20 EUR. Review the entire catalog and shipping amounts after a change, and have the AI update and republish displayed prices.

Ask the AI to add options such as size or color to a product. Each combination is a variant and can have its own price, SKU, images, and stock settings.

For example:

Give the mug Blue and White color options. Each costs $24 USD. We have 12 blue mugs and 8 white mugs. Track inventory and do not allow backorders.

For products with multiple variants, name the variant when asking the AI to change its price. A compare-at price displays a markdown against the selling price; it is separate from a promo code applied at checkout.

After editing options, check that your storefront’s selectors still let buyers choose the correct combination. Ask the AI to update the product page when its layout or option controls need to change.

Ask the AI to track inventory on each variant you want to manage. Allowing backorders permits purchases beyond available stock, so request that only when you intend to fulfill those orders later. Untracked inventory is different from tracked stock set to zero.

You can ask the AI to adjust inventory, but say whether the number is a new total or a change:

Set the blue mug’s stock to 20.

Add 5 units to the blue mug’s stock.

A per-order quantity limit is not an inventory count. Review stock after returns and refunds rather than assuming the physical goods are ready to sell again.

Upload the file in chat and ask the AI to attach it to the product as the digital download. Give it a useful filename for buyers, such as Mug-Care-Guide.pdf. Buyers receive a download link after a completed purchase. A picture on the product page is not the downloadable file. Ask the AI to confirm the file was attached successfully before selling it. Replacing the file changes delivery for future buyers; past buyers keep the file they purchased.

Do not collect a shipping address for a download unless the purchase also needs physical delivery. In an order’s details, you can inspect download information and use the available download-reset and receipt controls when helping a buyer. See Orders, Receipts & Refunds.

Catalog changes and page edits are separate. Saved product settings can affect checkout on an already-published site; page layout and text changes need publishing. After changing prices, variants, or availability, ask the AI to check both the saved product and its storefront display.
