Subscription Transfers

If you have an active subscription on one website and want to move it to a different website, you can usually transfer it directly — no need to cancel, get a refund, and resubscribe.

  1. Go to the website that currently has the subscription.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Click Plan.
  4. Select Transfer to another site and choose the destination website.

The subscription will move to the new website immediately. The original website will no longer be published until it gets its own subscription.

A subscription transfer only works when the destination website does not already have its own active paid plan.

If the destination website is already on Basic or Pro, cancel that destination subscription first and let it return to an unpaid state before trying the transfer again.

In other words:

  • paid site → unpaid site: transfer should work
  • paid site → already-paid site: transfer is blocked until the destination plan is cancelled

If the transfer button appears stuck or keeps loading, first check whether the destination website already has an active subscription.

Important Before You Delete the Old Website

Section titled “Important Before You Delete the Old Website”

If you are replacing an old site with a new one, transfer the subscription before deleting the old website.

Once a website is deleted, its active subscription cannot be moved from that deleted site. A safe order is:

  1. Create the new website first.
  2. Transfer the subscription from the old website to the new one.
  3. Disconnect or reconnect the domain if needed.
  4. Delete the old website only after the transfer is complete.
  • You built a new version of your site and want to replace the old one.
  • You are an agency and want to reassign a subscription to a different client project.
  • You created a site by mistake and want to use the subscription on a different site instead.
