Orders, Receipts & Refunds

Open your website in the editor and switch to Orders, or ask the AI to show your orders. These are purchases from your store. They are separate from charges for your own Landingsite plan.

Select an order to see its buyer, purchased items, quantities, payment status, totals, and timeline. Shipping addresses and download information appear when relevant. Test orders are labeled and should not be counted as real sales.

Check payment status before fulfilling an order. An order record alone does not mean a payment succeeded. Discounted orders show their finalized amounts; fully discounted goods can cost zero while shipping or tax still leaves a charge.

Use the Ship to address, send the goods, then select Mark as shipped. You can record a tracking number or clear an incorrect shipped mark. The action covers the entire order; partial fulfillment is not available.

You can also ask the AI:

Find order [order ID], show me its items and delivery address, and mark it shipped with tracking number [tracking number].

The shipping mark records your fulfillment action; it does not itself arrange delivery. Use Shipping to configure checkout addresses, destinations, and charges.

The Emails section shows the buyer receipt and your sale alert separately, so you can check which delivery needs attention. Use Resend for an eligible completed order when a buyer needs another receipt.

For digital purchases, inspect the Download section. If a buyer has reached the download limit, the available reset control lets them download again. Confirm the order and buyer before sharing a purchase link.

An email problem does not necessarily mean payment failed. Check the payment status and the email status separately before retrying a purchase.

Refunds are an owner action in the Orders screen. The AI can find the order and open the view; you review and submit the refund yourself.

  1. Open the order and select Refund when available.
  2. Choose the items and, if needed, Shipping, or enter a custom refund amount.
  3. Review the amount and confirm the refund. Use the full-refund action when you intend to return the remaining whole order, including postage.

Selecting an item refunds that order line, including its purchased quantity. To return a different amount, use the custom amount field. The available refund is limited to the amount still refundable on the purchase; discounts are already reflected in the order’s amounts.

A custom amount does not identify which goods were returned. Use item selection when you want the refund associated with specific lines, and check inventory separately before reselling returned goods.

A refund and a subscription cancellation are separate actions: refunding a purchase does not replace stopping future recurring billing. See Customer Subscriptions.

Use your Stripe Dashboard for disputes, bank details, payout settings, and payment reports. Landingsite order totals describe customer purchases; they are not a promise of the amount or date of a bank payout. If paid orders are missing from Stripe, see Stripe Account Troubleshooting.

If an order, receipt, or refund needs investigation, email support@landingsite.ai with your website URL and order ID.
