Switching Plans
Switching Between Monthly and Annual Billing
Section titled “Switching Between Monthly and Annual Billing”Billing cadence is set per website, not once for your whole account.
You can switch one website from monthly to annual billing (or back) directly from that website’s settings:
- Go to the website you want to update.
- Open Settings.
- Click Plan.
- Use the toggle to switch between monthly and annual billing.
If you have multiple paid websites, repeat those steps inside each website you want to change.
Annual plans offer a discount compared to paying monthly. For current pricing, see Plans & Pricing.
Upgrading Your Plan
Section titled “Upgrading Your Plan”If you need features from a higher plan (like multiple pages on Pro), you can upgrade at any time through Settings > Plan. Your new plan takes effect immediately.
You do not need to cancel or refund your current plan first just to move from Basic to Pro on the same website.
If you already paid for your current billing period and then move to a higher plan, Landingsite should apply the value of your current plan toward the upgrade so you are charged only the difference for the new plan.
For example, if you switch from annual Basic to annual Pro on the same website, the checkout should credit the amount already paid for the current annual Basic period rather than charging a second full annual amount.
If the final checkout screen does not show that credit, take a screenshot before completing payment and contact support.
Common Upgrade Scenarios
Section titled “Common Upgrade Scenarios”- Free to Basic or Pro: Unlocks custom domain support and additional AI edits.
- Basic to Pro: Adds support for multiple pages on your website. You can usually upgrade directly in Settings > Plan without requesting a refund first.
Downgrading Your Plan
Section titled “Downgrading Your Plan”You can downgrade from Pro to Basic if your website only has one page. If your website currently has multiple pages, you will need to delete the extra pages first before downgrading, since the Basic plan only supports one page.
To delete a page, go to the page dropdown in the header and click the trash icon.
Canceling a Website Subscription
Section titled “Canceling a Website Subscription”If you cancel the Basic or Pro subscription on a website that is currently live:
- that website will go offline
- the website itself is not deleted
- the connected domain is not automatically canceled
- you can bring the website back by re-subscribing and publishing again
Each live website needs its own active Basic or Pro subscription.
Moving a Paid Plan to a Replacement Website
Section titled “Moving a Paid Plan to a Replacement Website”If you are rebuilding a site from scratch and want the new version to take over the existing paid plan, the usual flow is:
- Clone the old website from your dashboard using the three-dot menu and Clone website.
- Make your changes on the new website.
- Open the original website’s Settings > Plan area.
- Use the option to transfer the subscription to another site.
- Choose the replacement website.
Important details:
- the paid subscription only covers one website at a time
- once you move the subscription, the old website no longer keeps that live paid plan
- if the old site still needs to stay live, it would need its own separate paid plan
Adding the Agency Plan
Section titled “Adding the Agency Plan”The Agency plan is a separate add-on — it does not replace your per-site subscriptions. You can add it to your account to get agency tools and extra credits while keeping your existing Basic or Pro subscriptions for individual websites.
